NonprofitAbout
MonViso Institute is a living systems lab and bioregional weaving hub for research, education, design, art, entrepreneurship, inner development and new living on holistic resilience and regenerative systems design. Located in the High Po River Valley near Ostana village at the foot of Monte Viso on the Italian-French border, MVI operates as a non-profit association with offices in both Italy and Switzerland. The Institute functions as a real-world laboratory for research, education, entrepreneurship and living in sustainability transitions and systemic design in a mountain setting.
For more than ten years, MVI has been hosting university groups, researchers, students, local actors, and visitors to prototype regenerative alpine-urban futures in practice.
Our systemic work includes mobility experiments, social network analysis, visual dialogue, regenerative tourism prototyping, land-use change, agroforestry, hemp cultivation, biodiversity learning, passive net-positive building.
