Go Green and Restore Africa Action (GGRAA) is a social enterprise founded in Rwanda in 2019, based in Musanze at the gateway to Volcanoes National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Built on more than 18 years of experience of its founders and board in community conservation and mountain gorilla protection, GGRAA channels this deep expertise into a new model of grassroots environmental action, one that places women and youth at the center. We engage local communities not only as agents of ecosystem restoration but as proud guardians of the mountain gorillas and the forests they depend on. By connecting communities to the benefits of gorilla tourism through ecotourism, green enterprises, and nature-based livelihoods, GGRAA ensures that conservation is not something done to communities, it is something led by them.
