NonprofitAbout
Established in 2006, Conservation Volunteers New Zealand (CVNZ) is a not-for-profit, registered charitable trust. Our kaupapa (purpose) is to inspire change in our communities by connecting people to nature through volunteering, training, education and employment.
We run projects across Aotearoa New Zealand, from large-scale native habitat restoration and planting to native plant nurseries and employment pathway programmes. CVNZ brings people together to plant and care for native trees, control invasive pests, and protect threatened species.
With offices in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington and Ōtautahi Christchurch, we engage thousands of volunteers and participants annually. To date, our staff and volunteers have planted more than 2.1 million native plants, removed 105,000kg of rubbish as well as huge areas of invasive weeds and predators removed.
