Social Media Manager

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy to increase Ma Earth's online presence, engage our community, and promote our mission. The ideal candidate is passionate about environmental issues, deeply understands social media platforms, and skilled in content creation and community management.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy to support Ma Earth’s goals and objectives.

  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends and technologies to keep our strategies innovative and effective.

Content Creation:

  • Responsible for posting interviews and creating engaging content (text, image, and video) tailored to each social media platform.

  • Collaborate with the team to produce complementary content that aligns with our mission and resonates with our audience.

Community Engagement:

  • Foster and grow an active and engaged online community.

  • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance using analytics tools.

  • Adjust strategies based on insights and data to optimize engagement and reach.

Campaign Management:

  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to promote key initiatives, events, and content, including the video interview series, “The Regeneration Will Be Funded” as well as future shows.

  • Coordinate with partners to build relationships, amplify our message and expand our reach.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience) a plus.

  • Minimum of four years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and management tools.

  • Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Ability to create visually appealing content using graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media data.

Preferred Qualifications:
